Natural Lotion and Cream Essentials Class
This is a class that so many Soap Making participants have been waiting for.
I began making my own skincare product 20 years ago and have never looked back. Over those years I have discovered what works and what doesn’t when it comes to making a good stable lotion and cream.
There are parts of a good recipe you can change and parts that need to be left alone.
We will cover all of the ingredients and situations that they are best used in.
We will work out all the details from thickeners, emulsifiers, emollients, preservatives, hydrosols and special ingredients that can make your formula extra unique.
This is a very hands on class and aprons will be provided.
By the time you leave this class you will be introduced to the wonderful world of skin care and will be able to make both lotions and creams to suit your special needs.
Whether it’s for yourself, or a special person including the babies in your life, you will never need to buy another chemical filled “natural”cream or lotion again.
You will know every ingredient that is going into your creation and you will know why it is in there.
We will cover a few of the tricks that commercial lotion and cream making manufacturers use to get away with their label claims.
A good lotion can change your skin for the better. Along with the lotion and cream you will create, you will leave with all the information you need to successfully make any lotion you want on your own. Class includes literature.
You will leave with a lotion and a cream or an incredible hair conditioner that you will make and customize for yourself or someone special.
All ingredients are natural!
You will learn the difference between an antioxidant and a natural preservative as well as learn when to use one or the other in your formula.
A few of the ingredients we will be using include:
Lavender Essential Oil
Ylang Ylang Essential Oil
Aloe Vera Gel
Leucidal (Natural Radish Root Ferment) Preservative
Tea Tree Essential Oil
Macadamia Nut Oil
